A restrained, indeed all-but-inexpressive nose only grudgingly reveals notes of yeast and apple with background floral whispers. There is actually pretty good complexity to the delicious if very round flavors that finish drier than the dosage level would suggest though the operative word is drier, not dry. Still, for those who enjoy a rounder style of Champagne that offers fine depth and no austerity, this is worth a look. I should note that it’s not a style that I look for personally but this is still well-made.
